Salman Khan’s latest Eid release, Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan, had a disappointing start at the box office, failing to beat his previous records for Eid releases. The film, which is a remake of the Tamil film Veeram and directed by Farhad Samji, stars Salman Khan, Pooja Hegde, Shehnaaz Gill, Venkatesh, Jagapathi Babu, and Palak Tiwari, among others.

According to trade analyst Taran Adarsh, the film grossed only Rs 15.81 crore on its first day of release. While it performed well in some large pockets, it didn't make a significant impact in metro areas except for Hyderabad.

Comparing it to Khan’s previous Eid releases, such as Race 3, Dabangg 3, and Bajrangi Bhaijaan, the film fell short in terms of box office collections. Race 3 brought in Rs 28.50 crore on its first day, Dabangg 3 grossed Rs 24.50 crore, and Bajrangi Bhaijaan grossed Rs 27.25 crore, making it one of Salman’s highest-grossing films.

The film's lackluster start may be due to its excessive nature. News outlets reported that Kisi Ka Bhai Kisi Ki Jaan had too much of everything, including too many characters, songs, action, and over-the-top drama that didn't seem to add any value.

Despite the initial underwhelming response, the film is still in theaters and may have the potential to turn things around. Salman Khan's fans are hoping for a significant jump in box office collections over the Eid weekend.
